With the nights drawing in and cooler weather on its way we have been inspired to share with you some of our favourite autumnal cocktail recipes. From warming and refreshing gin cocktails, to spicy and aromatic rum cocktails, all of these delicious drinks are infused with transitional autumn flavours such as crisp apple, cinnamon, hedgerow sloes and spicy ginger. In this blog post, we share our top eight cocktail recipes that are reminiscent of all the things we love about Autumn.

Apple, Elderflower & Gin Cocktail

250ml Sibling Autumn Edition Gin
200ml Elderflower cordial
1l Cloudy apple juice
Apple slices and ice, to serve

In a jam jar, mix the gin with the elderflower cordial. When ready to serve, divide the mixture between 8 glasses, top up with apple juice, apple slices and ice.

We would recommend using Sibling Autumn Edition Gin which has been infused with fresh apples and blackberries and a hint of cardamom. It has a beautiful lightly spiced and bright fruity flavour.

Hedgerow Royale

Crushed ice
50ml Prosecco
1 Rosemary sprig
25ml 6 O'Clock Sloe Gin
25ml Cherry brandy

Fill a coupe glass with crushed ice and pour over the Prosecco. Hold the rosemary sprig in the palm of your hand and clap the other hand sharply over it to lightly bruise the leaves before dropping it into the glass. Slowly pour the sloe gin and cherry brandy into the glass so that they sink to the bottom. Serve immediately.

6 O'Clock Sloe Gin would be delicious in this cocktail. It is made with wild handpicked hedgerow sloes and has a warm and refreshing taste with sweet fruit aromas of plum, flavours of Kirsch cherry and a hint of subtle spice.

Nosferatini Cocktail

50ml Devil's Staircase Highland Spiced Gin
15ml Dry vermouth
2 drops Homemade fake blood

Add the gin and vermouth to a cocktail tin filled with ice and stir to dilute. Double strain into a chilled small coupette glass and garnish with 2 drops of the fake blood (dissolve 7g of caster sugar into 44g of red liquid food colouring).

The perfect gin for this cocktail is the Devil's Staircase Highland Spiced Gin from Pixel Spirits Distillery. A spiced gin produced in the dramatic West Highlands of Scotland, Devil's Staircase gin has the flavours of beautiful citrus zest, warm cardamom and nutmeg.

Blackberry Gin Spritz

Lemon twist
Cubed ice

Add all your wet ingredients (except the sparkling wine) to an iced shaker. Shake hard for 20 seconds. Double strain into a chilled wine glass filled with ice. Garnish with a twist of lemon.

Pour the rums and fruit juices into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake hard until the outside of the shaker feels really cold. Strain the mixture into a tall glass or hurricane glass filled with ice, then slowly pour in the grenadine to colour the drink.

Cloven Hoof Spiced Rum contains a unique blend of dark rum from Guyana’s Diamond Distillery and a lighter rum from Trinidad Distillers Limited where they use locally produced caramel to give this deep rum its distinctive flavour. This is delicious when mixed with Faraday's Proof White Rum, a rum that is carefully distilled from natural unrefined molasses, using a highly scientific and systematic approach to provide unparalleled purity.
